Assistant Management Accountant (Graduate Opportunity)

We are seeking applications for an Apprentice Management Accountant to join our existing team based from our Head Office in London Bridge (hybrid working) on a 3 and a half year fixed term contract.

What you’ll do
This is an entry level role, designed to offer progression and development in the workplace such as learning and developing management accounting expertise while business partnering non-finance functions and learning the critical principles which enable the finance function to deliver for Southeastern.
The role also entails progression in the government’s level 7 apprentice programme and receiving the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts (CIMA) qualification. Once qualified, you will be a designated as Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
The role includes working on period end, reporting, forecasting, business partnering and business planning activities (please see attached job description for more information).
The experience you’ll need
To be considered for this role we recommend you demonstrate the below in your application;
- A degree in any discipline (all grades considered)
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
- Excellent IT skills (particularly Excel)
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
- Accuracy and an eye for detail
- Ability to problem solve issues and to identify opportunities for improvement
