We are looking for an Environment and Carbon Specialist to join our team, based at our London Bridge Head Office. The ideal candidate is curious, proactive and action oriented. This role is about turning data into action and helping colleagues and stakeholders embed sustainability across their workstreams.
This role will include some hybrid working, with up to 2 days a week working from home, based on business needs.

What you’ll do

You will be part of a small team that is working on making the difference. You don’t need to have all the answers from day one, what matters most is your drive to learn, collaborate and take initiative while also working independently.

This is a hands-on role supporting the Environment and Sustainability Lead while taking ownership of key projects across our environmental agenda.

The experience you’ll need
To be considered for this role we recommend you demonstrate the below in your application;
- That you are educated to relevant degree level. (Such as Geography or environment or sustainability based)
- That you ideally have experience in developing and delivering sustainability change focused programmes and have led programmes that drive positive outcomes or transferrable skills from a similar background where you had led projects that drive positive outcomes.
- That you have excellent numeracy skills and are comfortable working with data, spotting trends and turning insights into clear messages.
- That you have great communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to a non-technical audience and influence people at all levels.
- That you are able to plan, execute, monitor progress, and close projects.
- That you have a collaborative approach and enjoy working with others and can build relationships across different teams and organisations.
- That you have a good understanding of, or the ability to quickly get to grips with, key UK environmental legislation and regulations relevant to business operations.
- That you can demonstrate using your own initiative and have a hands-on attitude, with the confidence to work independently and the judgment to know when to collaborate.
- That you have an excellent standard of knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
