High Speed Train Driver

Job Introduction

We are currently seeking applications from experienced Train Drivers for upcoming opportunities to join our High Speed Train Driver team based from Ashford, Ramsgate or Faversham.

Train drivers are at the heart of our business, getting our passengers to where they need to be on time and safely. Driving a train carries great responsibility and with that comes pride and a real sense of achievement, knowing that an invaluable service has been delivered to thousands of people every single day.

Southeastern operate the first ever UK-based High-Speed Service, and we have exciting opportunities for qualified Train Drivers to join our team and be a part of our High-Speed Service.

We will provide you with full training on Class 395 traction and rules enabling you to operate on the High Speed network.

High Speed Train Drivers will receive a pensionable supplement of £3,100 per annum in addition to the standard drivers’ salary.

The Ideal Candidate

Applications are invited from any Qualified Train Driver who have completed at least three years train driving experience.

You will be highly motivated, professional, and have a proactive approach to learning and development.

Please note that applicants for this position will need to live within a 40 minute driving time from their chosen depot, unfortunately if you do not meet this requirement your application will not be considered.

Account will also be taken of your current Train Driving performance before a final decision is made.
