Operational Trainer Assessor

Job Introduction

Are you an experienced Train Driver looking for a new challenge? Take the next step in your career by applying to become a Trainer/Assessor.

The role

You will provide an excellent training service ensuring that all Trainee Operational Staff are competent to carry out their duties and responsibilities, with a prime focus on customer service.

This will be achieved by ensuring all learning and development needs are identified and implemented to the required standards. At the same time you will adopt and display the company values and ensure they are embedded in to all training delivery.

This is an exciting time as the team are looking to make improvements on how training is delivered and are keen for the post holder to contribute ideas to the development of the training programme.

The role is 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) working 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements).

The role is an MG1 Contract & T&C's (including private health cover)

The Ideal Candidate

About you:

We are looking for applications from Train Driver’s, preferably with experience of training/coaching others (although all necessary qualifications/training will be given).

You should be motivational and inspirational in your approach and by sharing your experience and expertise you will help to develop the knowledge and skills of the next generation of Train Drivers.

To excel in your role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following in your application:

  • You should have passed assessments and be competent in the duties of a mainline Train Driver, have an excellent safety and attendance record with three years experience.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
  • Customer focussed to deliver a high quality service
  • Negotiation skills with ability to influence decisions and change people’s views
  • A friendly and approachable manner
