Recruitment & Assessment Officer
Job Introduction
We are looking for a Recruitment & Assessment Officer to join the team based in Tonbridge (hybrid working).
You will be responsible for the delivery of an efficient and trusted recruitment & selection service to Southeastern which meets the business needs.
In this role you will work with the team on the end to end recruitment process to fill a number of positions and resourcing plans for our Train Services and Engineering Directorates, with a focus on Train Driver recruitment.
You will lead on attracting and recruiting customer focussed employees into Southeastern, whilst delivering an exceptional customer and candidate experience and support the in the attraction of a diverse applicant pool.
Duties will include (but not limited to);
- Act as a key point of contact for candidates and hiring managers
- Draft and publish job adverts both internally and externally, screening applicants for suitability
- Arranging and delivering assessment centres
- Arranging (and supporting on) interview panels
- Progressing candidate job offers and confirming onboarding arrangements
- Leading on projects to improve the recruitment process and candidate experience
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following in your application:
- Experience of building effective working relationships
- High standard of communication, and able to communicate and influence
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management and prioritising skills
- Excellent team working skills and flexibility in approach to work.
Desirable
- Proven experience/success working in a recruitment role
- Knowledge of candidate attraction techniques.
- Experience of using Applicant Tracking Systems.
- A relevant qualification or working towards, e.g. Certificate in HR Practice.
- You will ideally be Level A qualified in Occupational Testing (training will be provided)
