Job Introduction

The Resource Manager is a very important role in the delivery of our service to the thousands of passengers from across Kent and East Sussex. Your role will be to manage in real time the staff who work our trains as they make over 2000 journeys each day.

On a normal day, this includes supervising staff signing on and starting up duty, allocating work to cover staff and speaking to your team; but when plans change and the service becomes disrupted you will need to proactively balance your resources against many demands.  Answering questions and making tough decisions in real time makes this a challenging and rewarding role to work in.

You will need to work well under pressure within the busy environment of an operations control centre. Based in our Kent Integrated Control Centre alongside the Southeastern service management and information teams and Network Rail staff, you will work closely with them as one team so that the service is delivered correctly, punctually and seamlessly.
