About the Company
Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Southeastern formally signed the Armed Forces Covenant on Friday 28 October 2022 marking the centenary of the unveiling of the war memorial at Dover Port, dedicated to the workers from the South Eastern and Chatham Railway who gave their lives in World War One.
For Southeastern, the Covenant is a commitment to welcome and support Armed Forces members and their families, which Managing Director, Steve White, has proudly signed on behalf of all of us at Southeastern. Air Vice Marshal Matt Wiles also signed the pledge on behalf of the Ministry of Defence and thanked us for our pledge to the Armed Forces community.
It was also the first meeting of Southeastern’s Armed Forces Network. We have over 80 Veterans within Southeastern, with service ranging from 4 to 37 years. Our colleague network group is growing and building our Armed Forces community connecting veterans, reservists, and family members.
