Internal Communications Business Partner - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Job Introduction

We are looking for an Internal Communications Business Partner to join our team for a 12-month secondment/FTC.

You will work closely with the Head of Internal Communications and Senior Business Partners to develop and deliver a variety of communications plans, channels and messaging designed to enable understanding of and engagement with Southeastern’s business objectives, ensuring they are aligned to our business plan, mission, vision, values, and purpose.

As an Internal Communications Business Partner, you will support the business with internal communications advice, and produce presentations for internal events and management forums. You will work with suppliers to design and deliver effective internal communication plans to help business areas achieve their objectives and priorities.

 

Hours

This role is a Monday-Friday role with standard office hours and will be hybrid role where you will be based at either our modern Head Office in London Bridge or working remotely. There is the potential for flexible working in this role and this can be discussed at interview. 

Role Responsibility

You will have a number of accountabilities and responsibilities in this role, that will include but not be limited to:

  • Delivering elements of the Internal Communications strategy and plan, ensuring that all activity underpins and increases understanding of our vision, mission and values, corporate strategic objectives, activities, and narratives.
  • Providing written and digital content for our news channel and supporting the delivery of our weekly colleague newsletter and company intranet.
  • Producing reports to measure channels and ensuring they meet their objectives. 
  • Ensuring all content is people-focused, clear, consistent, and appropriately targeted.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to support colleagues across the business by providing advice and guidance on appropriate communication strategies.
  • Developing and delivering creative, multi-directional internal communication and engagement campaigns to agreed deadlines and budget.
  • Developing and delivering annual internal communications plans for our Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
  • Managing and arranging corporate photography and filming shoots for internal use.
  • Planning and managing events (such as management forums).

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record in assisting in the delivery of successful communication campaigns.
  • Previous experience in internal communications.
  • Experience in planning and producing communication and publicity material.
  • Proven ability to present complex material in a simple, understandable way.
  • Experience of project management, time management and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent copy writing and proof-reading skills.
  • Understanding of print production process and design.
  • Good judgement and intuition – with an eye for a story that will appeal to our colleagues.
  • Adobe Suite, video editing and Canva skills would be an advantage
